13 miles in the wind and the rain. Just arrived at Blood Mountain Shelter around 6:30 PM. He said he was cold, wet, and tired. Looking forward to making some dinner with the two hikers from CT he walked with today. Also met the two guys from Iowa. Thank God for the shelters. After a full day of hiking in the rain, they offer comfort and stability for a night.
Have to postpone first jury duty assignment for our beloved hiker. Luckily, it can be postponed for up to 6 months without any penalties. Therefore, six months it will be.
Expected to be in Neels Gap tomorrow. Source for supplies, charging batteries, and short break from trail.
However, don't expect he'll stay too long. Weather looks nice for the next few days.
