Good day for hiking! 17 miles completed and feels good. It was a solitary walk.
Met up with the two guys from Iowa again in the evening. Staying at the Blue Mountain Shelter tonight. I asked if the hikers he has been meeting are more experienced. Some are, some are not.
Most are in their 20s.
Tomorrow he would like to make it to Hiawasee, a town west of the trail. He assured me he doesn't really need anything specifically, but he would like to charge the phone. He promised to try and send us a photo or two a week.
